The Generac 48kW Generator adds well-known features and new improvements with the Protector XG series. The 48kW XG04845 has a 4.5 Liter engine that runs at 1800 RPM under load and 1200 RPM at idle or Quiet Test mode. The Power Zone 410 Controller brings the latest in technology with additional functionality and more features than ever before, including the ability to select the fuel type at the controller without any other modifications. This controller is NFPA 110 capable.

48kW Generator Standard Features

The new XG series carries forward the familiar features found in earlier models like quiet operation. The Generac 4.5-liter engine beats the competition on fuel efficiency for comparable generator models that produce less power. Generac 48kW XG generators maintain the UL-2200 listing and EPA Compliance. Built with an aluminum enclosure to guard against corrosion and a Generac 5-year/2000-hour limited warranty.

New 48 kW Generac Generator Features

New Electro-Galvanized base frame components prevent rust and corrosion. Single-side regular maintenance make service fast and easy through the front, key-locked panel. Change or check the oil, oil filter, and air filter; check or change the coolant; replace the spark plugs and check the battery. 

Fuel setup is made easier than ever through the controller. Set the fuel type in the controller—no other adjustments are necessary. 

The 48 kW Generac Generator exercises at 1200 RPM for a peaceful 58 dBA noise level and 64 dBA at 1800 RPM under normal load. The PowerZone 410 Controller has more features and more capability than ever before, including an overload control that eliminates the need for a circuit breaker.
